Situation
The situation you find yourself in directs and motivates you to communicate. When you evaluate a situation, pay particular attention to your client’s needs as well as your own. Survey the environment surrounding your communication to determine the conditions under which you are creating it.
Value
Identify the value to the client. Put yourself in the client’s place and understand what the client needs and wants from the communication.
