Aircraft Pricing and Economic Analysis
Abstract
An assessment of the cost of producing and operating the proposed aircraft is carried out using a variety of techniques developed by government agencies and industry associations. An introduction to the cost structure in the manufacture and operation of commercial aircraft and price information on current commercial aircraft is presented. The effects of inflation on cost estimation are discussed. Capital cost and its relation to empty weight are discussed. Direct operating costs and means for estimating them are presented for flight crew costs, fuel and oil costs, hull insurance, airframe maintenance labor and materials, engine maintenance labor and materials, maintenance burden, depreciation. ...
