Five Mantras for Writing a Comics Script

Although this entire book is about giving you the stylistic tools through a look at the evolution of comics storytelling, it wouldn’t be complete without a section, no matter how small, about how to create a comic script.

Although I had been a comics reader for more than 20 years by the time I wrote the script (along with my writing partner Paul Klein) for Whiz!Bam!Pow! Comics #7, there was a bit of a learning curve to switch to the comics medium (from our original medium of film). Here are five mantras we kept repeating to ourselves when writing the script.
