After the conservative rebirth and respect for authority brewed by the Eisenhower Administration, America was ready for something new; a bold vision of the future and a leader to show them the way. They found that leader in the young, charismatic senator from Massachusetts, the second son of America’s “Camelot” political dynasty, John F. Kennedy. In his inaugural address, he implored a rejuvenated populace to “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” He both embodied and proselytized that bold vision of the future, a vision of a “new frontier” in the stars.
