Abstract:

Power generation using pressurized fluidized bed combustion (PFBC) of coal coupled with combined cycles is a proven high-energy efficiency technology which ensures low environmental impact. Due to the inherent characteristics of PFBC technology, both SOx and NOx emissions can be maintained at low levels. Several demonstration power plants have been constructed worldwide employing PFBC technology.
