The Bad News

I got pretty excited about the prospects of load balancing while using the Windows 2000 release candidate 2. Everything seemed on track, and I expected load balancing to be in everybody's enterprise development toolkit. But, when the third release candidate came to my doorstep, load balancing was missing. It seems that there were problems Microsoft didn't feel it could solve before the release of Windows 2000. I found the following on the Web that explains Microsoft's position:
