The ability to photograph in color was revolutionary. Since the inception of color photography in the late 19th century, we have discovered quite a bit about it, explored Earth and its people with its new look, and translated it to the digital world. In a way, color photography reclaimed a nuance in color paintings and illustrations that was threatened by the realism of black-and-white photography. In the grand scope of history, it’s still a relatively new way of telling stories and creating art.
