Image Information

Here, we will see what we can get if we start using the image information readers in ColdFusion 8. One thing we know is that the browser is too small to display a full-resolution image. How do we know the size of an image? Let's look at two ways of getting the information. We will pull in an image of an old barn. We will then capture the metadata of the image and store that. Next, we will dump the metadata. In the dump, we see that the height and width as well as the source name are a part of the information. There is also some more specific information we can use if it is helpful to us. In our case, we are concerned about making sure that the image fits into the screen.
