In line with the other sports analogies that I’ve used, the Skill Metrics include categories for Offense and Defense. Offensive Metrics are those where a coder is helping to move the software, the team, or the organization forward towards the target goals. This is analogous to a player on a sports team trying to move the ball forward or otherwise help the team score.
