Review Your Attitudes

Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Luke 6:31

Code reviews require a constructive attitude—you need to approach a review with the correct mindset, or it will be unsuccessful. This works two ways: for the author and the reviewer.

The Author’s Attitude

Many people shy away from a code review for fear it will expose their inadequacies. Don’t do this. Having your code reviewed is a good way to learn new techniques. You must be humble enough to admit that you’re not perfect and are willing to accept criticism from others. Your coding style will improve as you learn from the changes made to your work.
