While it’s entertaining to stare into the cages of these code monkeys and have a laugh at their expense, what should you do about this? If you do nothing, then it has been little more than mere entertainment; you’ll walk away doing exactly the same stupid things you’ve always done.

To improve as a programmer, you must change. Change is hard—it runs contrary to our nature. The saying goes, a leopard doesn’t change his spots. If he did, he wouldn’t be a leopard anymore. Perhaps that’s the key. More of us should be wildebeests or rhinoceroses.
