Introduction

If you look at the vast range of leadership books on the market, you will see that most of them are written by men, which means that definitions of leadership are influenced by characteristics and traits that men see as important. I view leadership through feminine eyes and have made my judgments, working with both women and men, about what constitutes an effective leader. I use the term “integrated leader” to describe people who have integrated competencies from three main domains of leadership and who have integrated both masculine and feminine elements of strength into their leadership styles.
