It is only human to like certain people more than others. Generally, the people we like have behavioral styles or interests similar to our own or that mesh with our style in some beneficial way. But it’s important to recognize that a variety of styles are needed at work in order to create a balanced and diversified approach to problems and issues. As a leader, it’s critical for you to be aware of and manage your own prejudices or biases. You don’t have to like everyone equally, but you do have to treat everyone with respect and set standards that apply equally to everyone.
