What to Do Next

  • Plan. Make sure you are prepared to use all of the elements of your design effectively. Plan to maximize the appropriateness of your facilitation style. What will you be working on in your approach to training? What skills do you want to sharpen while facilitating this training? How will you obtain coaching and feedback on these skills?

  • Practice. Go through the training materials in your design carefully. Be prepared to respond to trainees’ questions that the materials and activities might generate. Make the PowerPoint presentations to a friend or colleague in order to become comfortable with the points you want to make.
