The Role of HR in Coaching and Talent Development
 
 
 
The contributions of HR (an organization’s Human Resources department) to the coaching and development of MVPs have received intermittent attention in several of the previous chapters. This chapter will examine HR’s role directly. In particular, I will address how HR contributes to the identification of MVPs and how it ensures that such identification is consistent and fair. I will then move on to discuss HR’s role in creating development opportunities, before giving extensive treatment to its role in developing an overall approach to coaching.
