Coaching in general is a broad-ranging activity that can take place at many levels of the organization. MVP coaching, by contrast, is a highly specialized function that focuses on a very narrow range of people: the 5 to 10 percent of employees who deliver exceptional value to the organization. As employees who constantly seek to improve their own performance as well as that of the organization, MVPs are particularly open to being coached.
