A DULL SCALPEL turns a surgeon into a butcher. Before we start operating on image files, let’s be sure that our tools are very sharp. In this chapter, we’ll go over the tools required to accurately view digital files so we can make meaningful adjustments to them as they wind their way through the RGB-to-CMYK workflow. We’ll review how those tools work, how to set them up, and how to keep them “sharp.”
