Chapter 4. Planning and Preparing for an Assessment, Part 1: Senior Management Responsibilities

Now that we have examined what is supposed to happen during an assessment, it is time to look at what actually happens and how to make it happen. This and the following three chapters consider the nitty-gritty of what an organization needs to do from the time it commits itself to the assessment to the time when the assessment actually begins.

These chapters presume that a company has selected the CBA IPI or “staged” SCAMPI method as the basis for a software improvement assessment.
