Abstract
More than ever, IT is in a state of transformation, due in part to the impact of cloud and mobile technology. What do these changes mean for CMDB System deployments? This chapter looks at major trends based on recent research data from cloud and the Extended Enterprise to agile and mobile and the growing pressure to better align IT with business objectives—with an eye to clarifying what's really going on in the changing world of IT.
