Cloud-Centric Applications

As reviewed in Chapter 7, a number of use cases inherently belong in the cloud, and some don’t. The former cases create additional impetus for use of the cloud. For example, a repository—whether the Library of Congress, Wikipedia, or Google Books—is expensive to replicate thousands or millions of times. The economics of such scenarios are self-evident. Such a repository is almost certainly likely to be accessed via a SaaS interface.
