Part III. Cloud Infrastructure and Management

Part III focuses on the IaaS layer of cloud computing. We will unveil the details of all physical elements of the cloud infrastructure. In comparison with Part II, all components that we are going to introduce are “above the floor,” namely, servers, storage, networking equipment, and hypervisors (see Figure 11.1). We have to note that a hypervisor is not a physical hardware component. It is a software layer that is built on top of hardware components (server, storage, and network).
