Cloud Dataproc is useful when you have your current Data Analytics platform on the Hadoop ecosystem or you want to leverage the open source Hadoop ecosystem. The good thing is that if you are moving from in-house to cloud, you don't have to work on any redevelopment of the code, nor on ETL pipelines.
This is very quick and can be used for temporary jobs as well.
