Nearline and Coldline are two different storage classes for archiving data. Due to these, it is a low-cost and highly durable storage service. You can store the data that is infrequently accessed.
The availability for this storage is slightly lower than for regional or multi-regional storage. Nearline comes with a minimum 30-day storage duration, which means you can access the data within 30 days but you have to pay for the 30-day duration.
Its use is good for data that you plan to read/update merely once a month. It is more suitable for data backup, disaster recovery, and archival storage.
