Multi-regional storage

Multi-regional storage is suitable for storing data that is frequently accessed, also termed as hot objects. Examples are serving website content, interactive workloads, data supporting mobiles, and gaming applications. High availability is a major plus point compared to other storage classes.

Multi-Regional storage, as the name suggests, is a geo-redundant storage class. That means it stores data redundantly in at least two geographic places that are at least 100 miles apart. Geo-redundancy occurs asynchronously.

One thing that you must be aware of is that data can be placed only in multi-regional locations such as Asia, EU, and US, and not like regional locations like asia-south1, us-west1 and so on.
