The Kubernetes plane processes is controlled by the cluster master. The Kubernetes API scheduler, core resource controllers, and server are controlled by the cluster master. Kubernetes Engine manages the master's lifecycle by creating or deleting a cluster. Kubernetes Engine often performs automatically or manually upgrades to the Kubernetes version running on the cluster master. This process depends on whether you are requesting to prefer an upgrade earlier than the automatic schedule.
