Persistent disks

The maximum storage we can associate with a VM is approx 64TB in size; that can be used with VMs as persistent disks. Also, the persistent disks can be created in any format, such as HDD or SSD. If one of the virtual instances is terminated or damaged, we can recover the data in the persistent disk and attach persistent disk to another virtual machine instance. Similarly, we can also take a copy or create an image of the persistent disk and create new persistent disks from that snapshot to create a new VM.
