Aligning Projects and Programs with Strategy

The first step in determining what strategic projects and programs will be needed to achieve the vision and execute the strategy is a gap analysis. This is an assessment of where you are now versus where you want to be. It is the start of the transition from broader performance targets to more specific programs and projects. Once you outline the standards of excellence that will be used to measure progress toward your vision, the next step is to rate your current performance on each standard using the following scale:
