Gratitude

JoAnn and I are so grateful. We are grateful for that night when we found Clients First, or maybe it’s the other way around: Maybe Clients First found us. Either way, we are thankful every day, especially the fourth Thursday in November. We thank our clients early and we thank our clients often. Letting them know we appreciate their business makes them feel good. It shows them we care.

Before Kmart closed, I told people to remember TYFSAK. When they asked what in the world I was talking about (and they often did), I told them to go shopping at Kmart and, when checking out, to lean around to view the little sign facing the cashier. It says TYFSAK, which stands for “Thank You For Shopping At Kmart.” I hope Kmart gave credit to the creative person who came up with that little sign, because if you ever shopped at Kmart, I assure you, you heard the cashier say thank you.

On Christmas morning, a transformed Ebenezer Scrooge was thankful it wasn’t too late, and he went to Bob Cratchit’s home to express his gratitude for Cratchit’s years of service. Perhaps you know someone like Scrooge, who cannot express his or her gratitude. Maybe it is you. Make gratitude a part of your day. Is there someone you need to thank? Do it now. Do it often.
