Don’t Prejudge

Get to know the people in your business. Ask about their families. Feel their joys. Share their pains. Listen to their stories. As you do so, you will learn to like people, and when you like them, you will find it natural to put them first as clients.

What about the unlikable people in this world? What about the villains and sociopaths? What about the ornery ones who just have bad attitudes? You might be surprised when you ask them a few personal questions. You might learn that underneath that gruff exterior is a person you can like. I’m not saying there is goodness in all people, but I am saying we discard a lot of goodness for fear of asking or by prejudging.
