Summary
Virtualization is unavoidable and continues to be the standard used by companies to consolidate their assets and reduce their total cost of ownership. Unified CVP does support virtualization. However as discussed in this chapter, it comes with some serious caveats and considerations.
Unified CVP can be virtualized only on Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) hardware with specific hardware specifications. In other words, not all configurations available with UCS are supported or tested with Unified CVP. The specifications were pointed out earlier in this chapter. Furthermore, not all the cool features provided by VMW are supported or tested with Unified CVP components
