IOS-Based IVR and HTTP Client Architectures

In previous chapters architecture was discussed pertaining to how media servers are positioned in the Unified CVP solution to deliver media files that address various call treatment requirements. Prior chapters mentioned the process to provide load balancing services to ensure that these media servers were highly available any time that a VoiceXML Gateway required a media file for call treatment. This chapter focuses on how the VoiceXML Gateway retrieves, caches, and plays the media to the caller.
