Part II is the most fundamental part of this book because it discusses the IPv6 protocol specification and presents the main commands in the Cisco IOS Software to implement IPv6 networks. Part II begins with a description of the new IPv6 header, the IPv6 addressing architecture, and all the types of addresses that are defined in the protocol specification.
