Outlining the Project Phases

Having made the decision to move forward with the CSA product, the security team needs to agree on the high-level phases the project will follow. The organization should already have a standard methodology for this process, including the following:

• Training

• Planning

• Testing

• Pilot

• Implementation

• Continued evolution phases

Each of these major phases has several steps included that will vary from environment to environment. Also, in smaller deployments, you might find that you can combine phases effectively and safely without impacting the success of the project. Throughout this chapter, you see the breakdown of each major phase and its application.
