About the Author
Mark Tripod is Manager of the Internetworking Engineering Group at Exodus Communications, a leading provider of Internet systems and network management solutions for companies with mission-critical Internet operations. As part of his job, Mark designs, deploys, and maintains the national network infrastructure linking all of the Exodus Internet Data Centers; maintains and configures all external BGP peers; and advises on all backbone routing policies. Previously, Mark was a Senior Network Engineer for Pacific Bell where he designed and deployed its regional network infrastructure.
