The Network Hardware

A legacy corporate network consists of two main sites: Corporate A and Corporate E. Other remote, or satellite, sites are connected to these two main sites by a variety of different technologies. Corporate site A consists of a Cisco 7507 at the heart of the network with several types of multi-access LAN devices, such as a Cisco Catalyst 5505 and FDDI switch. This router has one HSSI interface card, one DS3 ATM interface card, one Gigabit Ethernet interface card, and two serial interface cards. There is a local connection to an ISP for connectivity to the Internet. Corporate site E is similar in design and function.
