20.2. Wireless Security

Okay—so wireless security is not very reassuring. The number of hacks added to the fact that many of the security standards are easily overcome has not provided the best outlook for wireless security. The original 802.11 committee just didn't imagine that wireless hosts would one day outnumber bounded media hosts, but that's actually where we're headed now. Also unfortunately, just like with the IPv4 routed protocol, engineers and scientists didn't include security standards that are robust enough to work in a corporate environment.
