Description
By default, routing protocols like RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and OSPF are not enabled on asynchronous interfaces. This command allows all the routing protocols to be enabled on these interfaces. It can be used to route between offices that are linked by traditional analog modems. Use the no
form to disable routing on this interface.
Example
The following commands set up default routing for a dedicated async line:
interface async 2 encapsulation ppp async mode dedicated async default routing
