Part V: IP Version 6

As with IPv4, Cisco has organized the IP Version 6 (IPv6) topics for the exams by spreading the topics between the ICND1 and ICND2 exams. For ICND1, Cisco included the basics: addressing, subnetting, routing, router address and static route configuration, as well as basic OSPF configuration. ICND2 then takes the routing protocol topics a little deeper, with more OSPF, adding EIGRP, and with troubleshooting for the routing (forwarding) process and for the routing protocols.

Part V of this book follows the same general approach for IPv6 as the chapters in Parts II and III did for IPv4. Chapter 16 first reviews IPv6 addressing and routing, to the depth of the ICND1 exam, while discussing troubleshooting of those same topics. ...
