Drawing It All Together

If you produce this plan and follow the steps outlined, it should be the mirror of your role and the map for your future. It defines the scope of your role and shows you the areas of growth for you and your team. You should be able to look at this document and see the tactical and strategic nature of your job, the hard and soft skills required of you and your staff, and the map of how you're moving in concert with your firm. You should also be able to monitor the progress of your team.

Can any one document do all of these things? I would ask, how can you do them without it?
