CHEAP WINE AND THE SNOBS

Historically in my life, I often felt lucky that my sense of taste was so oblivious and forgiving that I could easily enjoy a three-dollar bottle of wine as much as a fifty-dollar bottle, and that my ear was not discerning enough to ever care much about the difference between listening to music on vinyl versus a CD. This simply allowed me to carry my music in my pocket and made me a cheap date. But then, back when new films shot on the first generation of digital cinema cameras—cameras like the CineAlta, the Genesis and the RED One—first started appearing on movie screens—my eyes revolted.
