Breaking objects with deformers

There are several deformers you can use to destroy the very same objects you spend your time creating in Cinema 4D. They are Explosion, Shatter, and Explosion FX, and they all do pretty much the same thing: break apart your object based upon its subdivision. We're going to use the Explosion FX deformer to create the effect of a bullet passing through a glass orb and shattering it to pieces.

Getting ready

Open the Bullet_Shatter.c4d file and use it for this recipe. It's set up and ready to go for you already.
