1.6 HyperNURBS Modeling
HYPERNURBS modeling is used when creating organic surfaces. This could be a human face or the flowing shape of a hood or a perfume bottle.
The actual form is roughly premodeled with polygons and then smoothed with the HYPERNURBS. The HYPERNURBS object subdivides and at the same time smooths the POLYGON object. The principle is identical to the function of the SUBDIVIDE command, which we already talked about.
In daily work you will use the HYPERNURBS object consistently. There is hardly a shape that can’t be improved by adding additional subdivisions and round edges.
