Recommendations of the Conference

1. In formulation and implementation of development programmes and schemes, criteria should be introduced which will ensure that women are not pushed out of economic activities and, opportunities for economic activity are expanded for women directly as well as through their training for entering into expanding new activities.

2. Taking note of the recommendations made by the Planning Commission’s Working Group on Employment of Women, the recommendations made in chapters 2 to 7 of their report are endorsed for urgent acceptance and implementation.
