Afterword

TODAY, IN THE 21ST century, Change is EVERYBODY ‘s Business. Ironically, at the very time when most of us feel so small, so disempowered, we can actually make more difference than ever. Information technology and the rise of democracy as the main form of governance are partly responsible for this new power of the individual.

Think about the power of one individual to launch a computer virus that disrupts business around the world. Or consider the outspoken stockholder at a televised shareholder meeting.

On a smaller scale, take any change that has happened in your workplace or other parts of your life. You will be able to track it back to a few people who wanted to make something different happen.
