46 Certification Study Guide Series: IBM Maximo Asset Management V7.1 3.4.3 PM hierarchy A PM hierarchy is a group of PMs arranged in parent- child relationships. At the highest level of a PM hierarchy, one PM is the parent. This top- level PM can have one or more child PMs. Each child PM can have one or more children, and so on. A child PM can only have one parent PM. You can create PM hierarchies that mirror your asset and location hierarchies, as shown in Figure 3- 7.
