Gateway Redundancy

Gateways also need to be configured with redundancy in case the primary GK or CallManager fails to diminish issues from arising. We cover three ways to accomplish this: Alternate GK, HSRP, and Redundant CallManager.

Alternate Gatekeepers

A GW can be configured with up to two alternate GKs:

Note

Alternate GK is here because the configuration is done on the GW and not the GK. It can be argued that it can also go in the GK section.
