Types of VPNs Supported

Virtual private networks (VPN) are popular today for a variety of reasons. Intranet VPNs are low cost and provide rich VPN services, which lead to cost savings and new applications. Extranet VPNs can extend WANs to business partners, leading to new applications and new business models. In addition, remote-access VPNs are cost-effective for remote user connectivity.

For these reasons, the security appliance supports the following types of VPN:

  • Site to site

  • Remote access

  • WebVPN
