Requirements for Inbound Traffic
Now that you have basic outbound traffic configured, you are probably wondering how to allow inbound access to your servers. That answer is simple: Network Address Translation (NAT). We’re not just talking any type of NAT, however, because there are a number of methods for doing NAT. You might come across the following types of NAT:
Dynamic outbound NAT: You configured this in Chapter 2, “Getting Started with Cisco Security Appliance Configurations.”
Dynamic outbound PAT: The configuration is the same as Chapter 2, but instead of a pool of addresses you just put a single address.
