Site-to-Site VPNs

Site-to-site VPNs are used to connect two sites together. These are normally to connect a branch office to the central office, as shown in Figure 54.

The site-to-site VPN provides connectivity between the branch office and central office so that workers in the branch office can access resources such as email and file and print services that are located at the central office. The implementation of a site-to-site VPN is transparent to the end user, because they are not required to perform any actions to connect to the central office.
