Network security has been a concern for most organizations for many years, and the original Managing Cisco Network Security (MCNS) course, the forerunner to this course, was very well received for that very reason. That well-written course provided critical information for “networkers” trying to keep up with the growing number of network threats and countermeasures. The MCNS course was a component of the Cisco Security Specialist (CSS-1) curriculum.
